About Hope Walks
Hope Walks is an program coupled with fund raising walks that provide opportunities for children, their families and friends to make a difference in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children worldwide.
Hope Walks provides resources and tools to organize and conduct a fundraising Walk on behalf of an international program offering services to orphans and vulnerable children (OVC.) For each event, Hope Walks works with a Co-sponsor in the United States, such as a community-based group, school, or faith-based organization to coordinate and co-sponsor the Walk.
Hope Walks and the Co-sponsor work together to select the Orphan and Vulnerable Children's Program which will receive the funds raised by the Walk. The OVC Program must meet the criteria established by Hope Walks and commit to using the funds to provide food, education, HIV testing and drug treatment, and vital health-care to the children they support.
Hope Walks is a program of Global Strategies for HIV Prevention 501 (c)(3). Global Strategies' programs include Save a Life, HIV/AIDS Education and Training, Hope Quilts, and Partner Support.
